The Hertz Corporation, which includes the Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty brands, has expanded of its Green Traveler Collection car rental fleet to include the 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid ( earlier post ) in select cities across the US. Additionally, the company currently has 15 solar locations, with projected growth to 20 by 2016.

car2go will continue to operate as normal in both locations until 31 December 2016, at which time all vehicles will be taken out of service and will no longer appear in the car2go app. Those locations include: New York City, Portland, Columbus, Seattle, Denver, Austin, Washington DC, Calgary, Montréal, Toronto and Vancouver.

Maven Reserve is available now in Los Angeles and San Francisco with plans to expand to other cities. Since launching in October 2016, Maven City car sharing in Los Angeles has experienced an average monthly member growth of 56%. In 13 months, Maven has launched three products and has grown to 17 cities in the U.S.

— Earlier this year, Xerox debuted its own unique mobility app that is currently piloting in Los Angeles, Denver, Centennial and Bengaluru. The “Go” app captures the universe of transportation options available in a city and computes the quickest, cheapest and most sustainable way to reach a destination.

To complement its work on real-world emissions in Europe, TRUE has compiled remote sensing data from the states of Colorado and Virginia and the University of Denver to investigate the emissions of US light-duty vehicles. Remote sensing campaigns continue to find that real-world emissions can be much higher than emission standards.

In the US, Audi customers have been using this service since late 2016. This service is now available at more than 5,000 intersections in the US, for example in cities including Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Portland and Washington D.C. Stop-and-go traffic in cities is annoying.
