The decision means that FCA joins General Motors and Ford in covering E15 in its warranty statements; GM started covering E15 with its MY 2012 vehicles, while Ford joined a year later with its MY 2013 vehicles. Volkswagen AG plans to sell 10,000 electric vehicle in China by 2018, according to Karl-Thomas Neumann, president of Volkswagen Group China, at the EVS conference in Shenzhen. The German company will produce an electric model at local ventures with SAIC Motor Corp. General Motors Co. and FAW Group Corp.

General Motors (GM) is recalling certain model year 2012 and 2013 Buick LaCrosse and Regal, and model year 2013 Chevrolet Malibu Eco vehicles equipped with the eAssist light electrification system. Some of these vehicles have a condition in which the Generator Control Module (GCM) may not function properly.

General Motors is increasing its renewable energy use with 3 acres of new solar arrays at two Michigan facilities. The company’s processing center in Swartz Creek and engine plant in Flint will feature 150 kW ground-mount solar arrays expected to generate a combined 400,000 kWh of renewable energy per year to the facilities’ grids.
