Ford certifies first 67 dealers to sell Focus Electric

Ford Motor Company has certified the first 67 dealers in California, New York and New Jersey to sell the battery-electric 2012 Focus Electric. Focus Electric also offers a faster charging system that allows for a full recharge in nearly half the time of the current Nissan Leaf thanks to a larger on-board charger (6.6 Earlier post.).

Polk: 35% of hybrid owners buying hybrids again

While the selection of hybrid models in the US has more than doubled since 2007, only 35% of hybrid vehicle owners choose to purchase a hybrid again when returning to market in 2011, according to recent analysis by Polk. Ford and Azure Dynamics to Collaborate on Transit Connect Electric for Europe

Ford Motor Company and Azure Dynamics Corporation have signed a collaborative agreement to begin delivering a pure battery electric version of the Ford Transit Connect van to customers in Europe beginning in late summer 2011. Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive priced at $41,450 for US; 85-mile range
