The 8 kWh battery pack for the new 2011 Buick PHEV crossover vehicle is prepared for testing at the General Motors Tech Center in Warren, Michigan. The yet-to-be-named Buick crossover will launch in late 2010, offering a family of fuel-efficient direct-injected gasoline engines, followed in 2011 by the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model.

The 2L/100km Fisker Karma sedan will start at €78,780 (US$106,900), excluding VAT, and be available through a network of 40 retailers across Europe beginning early 2010. The Karma is an Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV). Earlier in March, Fisker staged the European debut of the Karma sedan at the Geneva Motor Show.

A123 Systems has entered a battery supply agreement with Fisker Automotive to supply battery systems for the Fisker Karma Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV). The Karma—an extended-range electric vehicle—is scheduled to be launched in late 2010.
