Zero Motorcycles launched the Zero DS, a fully electric dual sport motorcycle for on and off-road riding. The DS is powered by Zero Motorcycles’s Z-Force electric drivetrain. ABAT), a developer, manufacturer and distributor of rechargeable Polymer Lithium-Ion (PLI) batteries and Wuxi Angell Autocycle Co., Ltd unveiled three hybrid motorcycles at the Dealer Expo 2009, 13-16 February, in Indianapolis, IN. In December 2008, ABAT entered into a Letter of Intent to acquire 55% of Wuxi Angell Autocycle.

Leo filed for patents on the ZAFC technology in 2008. The refuelable ZAFC oxidizes zinc pellets, generating the power to recharge the Li-ion polymer battery pack. But besides that, the only electronics potentially benefiting from THIS breakthrough are RCs and household rechargeable batteries.
