The quickest and most effective way to make that happen today is to green the current grid, house-by-house, by installing rooftop solar energy systems that feed clean, renewable power into the grid the second they’re switched on. Seems like a perfect use for some stimulus money, don’t it? 2007 USA electric energy fuel mix.
