The battery pack, covered by up to a 10-year/150,000-mile transferable warranty, may be fully recharged via the 6.6-kWh kWh on-board charger in as little as two hours using a 240-volt (Level 2) charger, available from Mopar through dealers. Level 3 chargers and “superchargers” cannot be used to charge the Pacifica Hybrid.

The breakthrough could revolutionize electric car battery technology and pave the way for ultra-fast charging electric vehicles in as little as two years. Using a liquid-cooled 28 kWh lithium-ion battery from Johnson Controls, Transit Connect Electric wagon can achieve a range of 55 to 80 miles (86 to 129 km) on a single charge depending on driving conditions and ancillary power usage. The wagon has a top speed of 75 mph (121 km/h).
