A team of researchers from the Bioremediation, Biomonitoring and Ecotoxicology Laboratory at Universiti Putra Malaysia, working with colleagues from University of Malaya’s National Antarctic Research Centre, has isolated and identified two species of diesel-degrading bacteria in Scott Coast and Ross Island, Antarctica.

Researchers from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Imperial College London have designed an active control turbocharger consisting of a mixed-flow turbine with pivoting nozzle vanes to adapt to the pulsating exhaust flow. Results of their study showed that engine power increased by between 3.58% and 7.76% between 800 and 1400 rpm.
