FuelCell Energy and Toyota Motor North America announced the completion of the first-of-its-kind “Tri-gen system” at Toyota’s Port of Long Beach operations. FuelCell Energy has contracted with Toyota to supply the products of Tri-gen under a 20-year purchase agreement. Tri-gen produces 2.3-megawatts

Nikola Corporation has received approval from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) for Nikola’s Tre hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) to be eligible for CARB’s Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP) program.

The California Air Resources Board approved a new regulation designed to reduce pollution further from ocean-going vessels while docked at California’s busiest ports. Tankers docking at the Port of Los Angeles and the Port of Long Beach must also comply starting in 2025, while tankers in Northern California have until 2027.

The transit bus replacement funds will be administered through NYSERDA’s New York Truck Voucher Incentive Program (NYTVIP), which provides point-of-sale rebates to reduce the cost for businesses and municipalities that want to purchase new, clean electric or alternative-fueled vehicles (e.g., commercial trucks and buses).
