The iX1’s pricing means it just scrapes in under the luxury car tax threshold, but you can forget about state-based rebates or the federal FBT exemption. iX1 tyres are not run-flats and there is no spare, only a repair kit and tyre pressure monitoring. Servicing is conditions-based, which means when the car reckons its needs it.

Additional safety features are a tire pressure monitoring system, a tire inflator kit, keyless push button on/off and OnStar. The Bolt EV currently (as of August 2022) does not qualify for federal tax credits, but will qualify for credits or incentives in some states. See a tax consultant before visiting your local dealer.

The faster we can get permits, the faster we can send the state tax revenue, hire great crews and spin another meter backwards.&#. Previous Prius conversion kits have been limited by Toyota programming to a top speed of 34 mph in all-electric mode.

In many states, of course, it qualifies for EV rebates, while at a federal level there will be FBT and other tax discounts. Alternatively, an interior LED light kit is also on offer, which would be helpful as its pretty dingy in the back. But it’s still a big ask considering the most expensive 1.2-litre 2023 Peugeot e-Partner.

Volvo Ford-owned company exploring PHEVs "ReCharge" flex-fuel series 60-mile concept PHEV w/wheel motors. announced a partnership with utility Southern California Edison to test a fleet of rechargeable electric vehicles and said it expected to sell such plug-in hybrids within the next decade if battery technology keeps pace.
