Of the 11 PHEVs: 10 are extended range electric vehicles—Toyota’s concept Prius PHEV is the only non-series hybrid plug-in. 9 (82%) are production prototypes or concepts; only the Fisker Karma and Karma-S are in production or near production. Of the 42 vehicles, 11 (26%) are plug-in hybrids, the remainder are EVs.

Fisker Automotive has appointed its first group of 32 US retailers to market and service its luxury plug-in hybrid vehicles, beginning with the $87,900 Karma sedan later this year. Karma on Friday unveiled the Ivara concept at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, one of the premier events of 2024 Monterey Car Week that ran last week in California. Joining it on Karma’s stand were the previously revealed Kaveya sports car and Gyesera sport sedan.
