Hyundai Mobis will assemble battery packs using cells from the plant, then supply them to the Hyundai Group’s US manufacturing facilities for production of Hyundai, Kia and Genesis EV models. The Hyundai Elantra Hybrid, LPi hybrid vehicle introduced in 2009, was the Group’s first electrified model.

The electric Innova, which is built in Indonesia, was revealed at the Indonesia Motor Show in March, fitted with a SEA-Drive 70 powertrain. Every component we would put in that [Hilux ute] we are already using and already have a supply base. The Toyota Kijang Innova EV uses the same frame as the Hilux and was developed by SEA.
