The city of Houston is set to receive the first Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Buy America-compliant mid-size autonomous bus in the US. Jointly developed by Phoenix Motorcars and EasyMile , the EZ Zeus self-driving bus will be deployed in real-life traffic conditions.

Goodenough, a professor of electrical and computer engineering at the University of Texas at Austin , authored more than 800 technical papers during his career. He and his colleagues were recently granted a U.S. Following World War II, he pursued a doctorate in physics at the University of Chicago. Stanley Whittingham.

He left there in 1966 to join the University of Cambridge as an assistant director of research. He earned his bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering in 1958 from the University of Bristol , in England. before joining Texas Instruments in Dallas. He worked at the university at the time of his death.
