The new grant recipients were selected using a competitive merit-review process. The grants awarded were in response to RFP-I, a request for proposals the GRI Research Board issued on 25 April 2011. Lead Institution: University of Miami. On 30 June, the Research Board awarded 17 grants totaling $1.5 Rabalais, Ph.D.

The US Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announced $55 million in grant selections through the Low or No Emission (Low-No) Vehicle program, which funds the development of transit buses and infrastructure that use advanced fuel technologies. Fifty-one projects in 39 states will receive a share of the funding.

The Court has scheduled a hearing on 18 January 2017 to decide whether to grant the proposed agreement final approval. This case has been assigned to US District Judge Sean F. Cox of the Eastern District of Michigan.
