I spent a few days in the Florida sunshine this week, behind the wheel of a most basic 2023 Corolla LE. A backup camera is standard on all models and has decent clarity and grid lines to indicate how close objects are. A 7-inch infotainment screen is standard on all 2023 Corollas. Parking sensors are not offered on the LE trim.

Several states, including Nevada, California and Florida have enacted legislation that expressly permits operation of autonomous vehicles under certain conditions. The Google car is an example of limited self-driving automation. The policy statement also describes NHTSA’s research efforts related to autonomous vehicles.
