Omnitek Engineering Corporation has been granted a license from the government of Peru to perform diesel-to-natural-gas conversions in the country. In March the company entered the Peruvian market with a multi-year contract to convert a fleet of beverage and milk delivery vehicles owned and operated by Lima-based Leche Gloria.

BYD will provide the Colombian capital of Bogotá with a fleet of 379 pure electric buses, in a deal awarded by the capital’s TransMilenio SA mass transport authority. This fleet will begin operations in September 2020, giving Bogotá the largest electric bus fleet on the continent and one of the largest in the world.

Royal Dutch Shell plc has agreed to acquire part of Repsol S.A’s LNG (liquefied natural gas) portfolio outside of North America, including supply positions in Peru and Trinidad & Tobago, for $4.4 The acquisition will LNG capacity in the West Atlantic from Atlantic LNG (ALNG) in Trinidad & Tobago, and in the East Pacific from Peru LNG (PLNG).

With the arrival of the Pipe Laying Support Vessel (PLSV) NO 105, from McDermott, on August 30, the company’s fleet reached 15 vessels. These decreases are driven predominantly by lower gas and liquids (NGL and condensate) production at Lot 57, Kinteroni Field, Peru, stemming from lower demand for LNG exports from this country.
