With an HPDI (High Pressure Direct Injection) technology, which uses diesel as a ‘liquid spark plug’ in the ignition cycle, Volvo claims its LNG truck ‘assures’ 15-20% better fuel efficiency than another LNG truck with a spark plug ignited engine. Volvo Trucks looks to tap all segments which use tractor trailers to transport goods.

Federal authorities focused attention on a mid-cabin door plug, which is used to fill the space where an emergency exit would be placed if the plane were configured with more seats. Spirit AeroSystems also worked on the fuselage for the 737 Max 9, including manufacturing and installing the door plug that failed on the Alaska Airlines flight.

The company has struggled to regain the public’s trust after two crashes of 737 Max 8 jetliners, in Indonesia in 2018 and Ethiopia in 2019, killed a total of 346 people.
