The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia’s national science research agency, has 2 -based-power-generation-project/">joined the Joint Industry Partnership (JIP) of the Supercritical Transformational Electric Power (STEP) project known as STEP Demo. Operational start-up is anticipated next year.

idea Solutions Design, and JB Mechanical to integrate and install a commercial 1000 Watt Atrex Energy fuel cell power generator fueled with compressed natural gas in an all-electric Polaris Ranger ATV. Developed SOFC designs with peak output over 10 kW; the first working SOFC generated a mere 20 watts of power. Tripled power density.

LanzaTech has been selected by the Department of Energy’s Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) to receive a $4-million award to design and plan a demonstration-scale facility using industrial off gases to produce 3 million gallons/year of low-carbon jet and diesel fuels. Tesla Bot Development Platform Demo. I guess there’s only so much you can do with a mostly naked electromechanical humanoid in terms of form factor, but at first glance there’s nothing particularly innovative or futuristic about Tesla’s design. The watering can was somewhat impressive, because gripping that narrow handle looks tricky.
