I duly plugged it into an exterior household outlet. Since it was not a Level 2 charger, I knew it would not gain much juice overnight. That meant looking for a decent public DC charging station in a nearby town. Consequently, range anxiety and charging locations are of little concern. Lessons Learned I then learnt a new lesson.

But now they are back on the fence, holding off on getting a plug-in car. Bill lives a good 60 miles from San Francisco, so he needs to get some juice to make his trip home after work.

I had recently installed the PakTrakr system, so I cleared out the serial logging attachment and started collecting data. I crawled into a Taco Time and asked if I could plug in. After that, I walked a block away and found an auto parts place that was kind enough to let me plug in. Halfway home, the battery gave out.
