With the front suspension coil-overs installed, I felt much more confident in driving the car around without bottoming out. The link-10 is pretty good at measuring state-of-charge with Peukert compensation, so I felt good about knowing how much juice I had left. This has definitely been an interesting week. Tuesday was interesting.

I had recently installed the PakTrakr system, so I cleared out the serial logging attachment and started collecting data. After the car sat for 20 minutes, I had enough juice to get to the auto parts place. After poking around under the hood, I also found a critical resistor that enabled the DC-DC converter had broken off.

In March 2020 we installed 9 solar panels an inverter and 2 battery packs. The panels generate DC current that varies with the solar power. The inverter converts the DC solar into AC power that can power the house or be directed back into the Grid as well as connecting up the Battery packs that uses 48 Volt DC. .

Madan has got 15 A sockets installed at all the hospitals he works with - so whilst Madan is at work in his surgery, a 15 A socket is doing its work with his Nexon. Jay’s first EV was the DC motor Reva, which he bought way back in the early 2000s. As of Jan 22, he has already covered 85,000 km. So was his wife.

When GM installed chargers for the EV1 they used a 50amp 220V circuit that could pump over 6KW into the batteries. You could leave Los Angeles and drive to Baker, stop and have a meal while the car recharges, and have plenty of juice to make it to your hotel in Vegas. Some industrial sites are even set up with 440V 3 phase service.

The more money we gave the longer the meeting was and better the food got. But nothing we did could gain the parks any more love or funding.
