The US has up to now adhered to the user-fee principle in financing transportation infrastructure—i.e., users pay for the construction and maintenance of roads via a federal fuel tax. The demand for new roads and the cost of expanding and maintaining the transportation system have increased with population and economic growth.

Avoid big-ticket motoring costs: New cars are less likely to need big-ticket mechanical item replacements. However, leasing can make them more affordable by spreading the cost of the vehicle over time.

Right now we’re at about 12% from renewable sources. They wish no one had rooftop solar – unless of course that solar is owned by the utility and they can keep charging you for it. And because of that, applying for the state rebate is an uglier process than filing your income taxes. They already have.

You’ve got to show you’re going to show that you’re going to build something that’s going to look good – not from the aesthetic point of view, from the building point of view. He wasn’t a finance guy, thinking “I’m going to make money.” I’ve been amazed that most companies seem to front the cost, even start ups.
