The emissions further drop to ~70% if we consider 2G ethanol which is produced using farm waste. Ethanol production from farm waste such as corn cob, rice husk, wheat straw and sugarcane bagasse, is known as second generation ethanol (2G). India has already started setting up 2G plants, which use crop waste for ethanol production.

Only half the story about public charging is providing juice: enabling drivers to extend the range of their vehicles beyond their night-time "fill-up" at home when necessary and overcoming newbie "range anxiety."

I have been on exactly one ICE (dinasour juice* consuming Internal Combustion Engine vehicles) roadtrip prior to this. Gotta love the free and the fast juice at MG’s Fortum Chargers. He was great company and was really curious about electric cars. The total costs were very low, granted because of free charging at Fortum.

But GM says it wont get the money until the Obama administration is satisfied the company is financially viable. GM killed that car because of back room deals with oil companies, and now they expect us to believe that they are just so cutting edge now? Gotta love a company that blows nearly 2 billion a year on PR and advertising!
