This is great news for Tesla fans, as many Tesla models qualify for the credit.

Colorado residents who purchase or lease a new Chevrolet Volt are eligible for a state tax credit of up to $6,000 in addition to a federal tax credit of up to $7,500 for a total price reduction of as much as $13,500. Colorado has voted to approve a new standard on the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs), with an additional goal set for 2032 and new guidance for increasing EV sales beginning in 2027. Notably, the release says that the standard does not prohibit the sale or use of non-electric vehicles with internal combustion engines (ICEs).
