BMW plant brings electrically heated ring hearth furnace into operation

Compared with its conventional gas-powered equivalent, the latest electric furnace currently saves some 300 tonnes of CO 2 a year. BMW launching iX5 Hydrogen pilot fleet

Audi partnering with Climeworks on CO2 direct air capture and storage

Audi is partnering with the Zurich-based environmental start-up and promoting a future technology with the project. Water from the Hellisheiði power plant then flows through the facility and transports the carbon dioxide roughly 2,000 meters below the surface of the Earth. The water returns to the cycle of the geothermal power plant.
