I think that we will get to a place where Chinese brands like NIO will be able to expand to the US, and people will come around. Zeekr will be the first to break the mold for non-state-owned Chinese car makers, as they will deliver Waymo One EVs to US company Waymo. I’m not one of them.

CATL is now moving closer to locking in a plant in the United States, according to an exclusive report from Reuters , which said the Chinese battery maker is now vetting sites in South Carolina and Kentucky. ” BMW operates an assembly plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and already has a partnership with CATL in Europe.

Polestar 3 production is set to start in South Carolina in the middle of this year, and should be delivered to customers during Q2 as the vehicle is already being built in Chengdu, China. It is also reporting that some of its vehicles, including the Polestar 4, has been “well received” in the Chinese market.

Production is also expected to begin by mid-2024 at Polestar's plant in Ridgeville, South Carolina, the automaker said when it unveiled the Polestar 3 last year. At that point, the US will serve as the main supply location for North America and other markets. The plant is expected to make its first deliveries in mid-2024.
