Never mind that the film is likely simply presenting fact, or at least fact as has been recorded – I haven’t yet seen the film – and that racing safety has improved over the years. If Dan Kois wants us to live in a world where we all drive cheap, underpowered cars that are limited to 85 mph, he has that right. All of the above?

Although it looks cheap, the feel of the door handle is more premium than you might expect. Outside the LE there’s a constant reminder of base trim via some very cheap-looking plastic wheel covers. Worth reporting: Android Auto sometimes refused to connect to a phone (Google Pixel 6a). Not a big negative, but worth a mention.

If it were legal to deliver rescued migrants to Libya, it would be as cheap as sending rescue boats a few extra kilometers south instead of east. The present E.U. I dunno if it’s the biggest surprise, but the most pleasing news of 2022 was the way the irrepressible die-hards in what remains of the Aussie auto industry leapt on the opportunity EV presents. Biggest EV surprise of 2022.

As with the ICE alternatives, expect a long list of standard equipment in a well-presented package, although we hope the driver assist technologies (such as lane departure warning and auto braking) are improved. None of which will be cheap, the Polestar 3 is priced from $132,900 before on-roads. Polestar 4 Polestar 4.
