One of the highlights on the Audi stand at the 2012 Wörthersee Tour in Austria (an annual gathering of Audi VW, Seat and Skoda enthusiasts) is an electric bicycle technology concept: the Audi e-bike Wörthersee. The frame and the swinging arm that holds the back wheel are made of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP).

Voith is introducing a lateral energy absorber made of glass fiber reinforced plastics (GFRP) and aluminum. This new lightweight energy absorber is part of the mutable vehicle head concept Galea, but it can just as well be integrated into other front end systems. This way, it can be carried and mounted by one person alone.

Group (SAIC) unveiled three models of a concept new vehicle form called EN-V, short for Electric Networked-Vehicle. It is an evolution from the platform of the Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility (P.U.M.A.) The concepts will be showcased from 1 May through 31 October at the SAIC-GM Pavilion at World Expo 2010 Shanghai.
