When we bought our first electric car in January of 2013, the Toyota Rav4 EV with the Tesla battery and powertrain, we followed Toyota’s advice on the right home charger to buy. It worked fine for six years, first in charging the electric Rav4 and then starting in 2017 our two new electric Chevy Bolts.

I have been on exactly one ICE (dinasour juice* consuming Internal Combustion Engine vehicles) roadtrip prior to this. Since my car was new and I had no practical data on how much my car could go on a single charge, I looked at some YouTube videos and assumed that the minimum range I could expect would be around 300kms at full charge.

A distance of 923 km using DC fast charging infrastructure. Ended up buying some harbaara , carrot, cucumber and oranges. We then went on to do a slow charge upto 100%. We had to charge it to 100 percent - and decided that we will come down after an hour to switch off the connection. It restricts the power to 1 bar.
