Irizar reports that 44 Irizar ie electric buses are headed to Burgas, Bulgaria. It is the first electromobility project in that city—the fourth largest in the country—and one of the largest in Bulgaria to date. Irizar e-mobility will also provide 44 interoperable ECI-100 chargers by Jema Energy (an Irizar Group company).

Specialty chemical company Clariant and Eta Bio, a company of the Pavlovi family, running a leading business in the agricultural sector in Bulgaria, have signed a license agreement for Clariant’s sunliquid cellulosic ethanol technology. The agreement marks the fourth signed license deal for Clariant’s sunliquid technology.

Yutong’s delivery comes as the Chilean government has launched an environmentally-friendly urban development policy, part of which includes a program to replace current city buses with new-energy vehicles by 2050. In 2017, Yutong saw a total sale of 67,568 large- and medium-sized buses including 24,865 new-energy buses.
