It was neat to see a store embrace its heritage. Not all are so lucky, such as a San Antonio Hyundai dealer who is currently removing what many are describing as a local landmark. According to the dealer group’s head of marketing, it’s not part of the “Hyundai experience.”

Some Texas locations of the kitschy, massive stores are getting Mercedes-Benz’s DC fast charging stations, and many more are expected by the end of 2024. The store chain operates 48 locations, mainly in the South, with 34 of them in Texas alone. As Electrek noted, 68 percent of Texans live in those regions.

Electrify America and Walmart announced that more than 120 plus ultra-fast electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are now operational and open to the public at Walmart stores across the US. Electrify America chargers at Walmart stores feature 150 kilowatt (kW) and 350kW DC Fast Chargers.

In November 2023, Mercedes announced it had made an agreement with Buc-ee’s to build EV charging hubs at most of its existing stores.
