The Joylong E6. The Joylong E6 is an electric minibus that can carry up to 17 passengers. We had seen the prototype of this vehicle over a year ago and now Perth based Global Automotive Distributors has waded through the red tape and bureaucracy to bring the E6 to Australia in November.

BYD, a company struggling to sell its e6 electric crossover in its home market, has decided it won''t be sold at all to private customers in the U.S. Instead, says the ChinaEV blog, the e6 will be a fleet-only vehicle in the U.S, BYD, which stands for ''Build Your.'

Chinese automaker BYD, or ''Build Your Dreams'', could be on the verge of abandoning convenionally-fueled car production in favor of electric vehicles. Already known for electric vehicles like the e6 crossover, BYD is aiming for a "re-birth" plan to counter a recent slump in sales.

The wait will soon be over for US customers eager to get their hands on BYD Auto’s e6 electric crossover. BYD will select a specific region in the US and target several hundred e6 cars at government agencies, utilities and even celebrities. The e6 has a reported range of more than 249 miles.

Authorities also placed an order for 400 of BYD’s all-electric e6, a 5-passenger cross-over utility vehicle, some of which have already hit the streets.
