A study by researchers at the Institute of Transportation Studies, UC Davis finds that buyers of plug-in vehicles (PEVs) are substantially less satisfied with the dealer purchase experience than buyers of conventional vehicles—with the notable exception of Tesla buyers. In some cases, dealers outright discouraged PEV purchases.

The BMW Mini E has hit the streets. In June about 500 cars were placed in consumer and fleet hands in Los Angeles and New York and New Jersey for what BMW calls a " field trial." Hailed as a huge win for auto manufacturers, car dealers, and consumers, the Clean Vehicle Credit (CVC) which is part of Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), at least for now is a confusing, hot mess for everyone involved. A phaseout of the tax credit occurred over several quarters down to zero.
