Today, Speaker Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid sent the following letter to the Acting Architect of the Capitol, Stephen T. Ayers, asking that the Capitol Power Plant (CPP) use 100 percent natural gas for its operations.

Presently, the vast majority of hydrogen is produced using coal or natural gas as feedstocks. That makes it incredibly energy inefficient and results in a lot of extra pollution. Germany even had to pivot back toward coal for energy production after realizing there was no way to build enough wind and solar farms.
