A 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is standard in HEV and PHEV. The Niro PHEV pairs the 1.6-liter kWh lithium-ion polymer battery in under three hours.

With the 60 kW DC charger, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes.
