The German automobile club Kraftfahrer Schutz e.V. (KS) KS) awarded the 2015 Energy and Environment Prize to the Volkswagen Group for the plug-in hybrids Golf GTE ( earlier post ) and Audi A3 e-tron ( earlier post). which was founded in 1935, is one of the larger German automobile clubs with around 520,000 members.

The brand says it’s the first step in a plan to unlock the entire Supercharger network across Australia, meaning drivers of the MG ZS EV or BYD Atto 3 , all the way up to the BMW i7 and Audi e-tron , will be able to plug in and recharge. The chargers aren’t free, with Tesla charging around.60c/kWh

Larger signs were printed, too, volunteers from a local car club posting them at street corners around Manteca. In addition to securing cars from private owners and the local Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and Tesla dealerships, a used EV dealer was also engaged. Central California EVA chapter gets creative in promoting ride-and-drive.

Meanwhile, the adoption of plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) in car sharing services could be one way for automakers to promote this technology that is still struggling for traction in the marketplace.
