I’m personally not a fan of the Qualified Plug-In Electric Drive Motor Vehicles (IRC 30D) – commonly referred to as the “Federal EV tax credit” – as I believe it has been an abysmal failure. It took 9 years for EV sales to surpass 200,000 in annual sales, reaching 325,000 in 2018.
