In Cologne, as in cities across Europe, low-emission zones are being introduced to address air quality challenges by discouraging the most polluting vehicles from driving through them. Whenever a trial vehicle enters a controlled zone, its electric-drive mode is triggered and the zero-emission driving green miles are documented.

Volkswagen has been testing the newly developed R33 BlueDiesel fuel blend at its in-house filling station in Wolfsburg since January 2018. The current supplier since January 2018 is Shell Global Solutions in cooperation with Tecosol and Neste, who supply fuels certified according to European standards. Thomas Garbe.

German auto manufacturers will optimize the emissions systems in 5.3 The aim is a 30% reduction in NO x emissions from these vehicles by the end of 2018. Nitrogen oxide emissions (NO x ) in particular require comprehensive efforts to improve the health protection of citizens.

At Daimler Trucks & Buses we are clearly committed to the goals of the Paris Climate Protection Agreement and thus to the decarbonization of our industry. The first hand-off to a customer was in 2018. In addition, all European Daimler Trucks & Buses plants will be CO 2 -neutral by the year 2022. All other plants will follow.
