Since the ProRail family of compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems was introduced in 2016, it has been used in a wide variety of applications, and powers tens of thousands of commercial fleet vehicles on the road. ProRail systems are installed on one or both sides of the vehicle’s frame rail.

Within his talk about the need for a US energy policy at the IHS CERAWeek 2013 energy conference in Houston, GM Chairman and CEO Dan Akerson outlined some highlights of the company’s fuel economy plan through the 2016 model year.
