If cost is an important consideration, than charging your EV at home is a no-brainer as it cuts out any profit-hungry middlemen. Many future owners may be driving EVs in an effort to reduce their carbon footprint and charging at home could give them the opportunity to control the source of the energy that goes into their car.

If the EV1 was viable (or even close) we would see Ford, Toyota, Honda, etc all with 80 mile cars right now.do No because we are just now getting the technology to do a marketable EV. Sorry the market killed the EV1. you see that?
