an Argentine lithium development company in which it owns a stake, has officially started lithium production at Salar de Olaroz in Jujuy Province, northwestern Argentina. This plant has now starts commercial production. This project marks the first investment by a Japanese company into lithium carbonate development in Argentina.

The pickup will feature a double cab and will be targeted both at personal-use and commercial customers. The Mercedes-Benz 1-ton pickup truck will be built by Nissan in the Renault plant in Cordoba, Argentina, along with the Nissan NP300 and the Renault 1-ton truck, for Latin America.

Under the terms of the dealer agreement, DynaProTech plans to integrate Balqon’s zero-emissions electric drive systems into electric buses, heavy-duty trucks, light commercial vehicles and automobiles for use throughout China. DynaProTech represents the sixth international dealer agreement Balqon has established since the beginning of 2010.

Orocobre Limited , an Australian minerals exploration company with a focus on developing “best of class” Lithium, Potash and Boron resources in Argentina, and a Toyota Group Company, Toyota Tsusho Corporation, will establish a joint venture to develop Orocobre’s flagship Salar de Olaroz Lithium-Potash Project in Argentina.
