Zero Motorcycles launched the Zero DS, a fully electric dual sport motorcycle for on and off-road riding. The DS is powered by Zero Motorcycles’s Z-Force electric drivetrain. Recharge time is less than four hours. Each component on the motorcycle is engineered to minimize weight. The Zero DS.

Leo filed for patents on the ZAFC technology in 2008. The refuelable ZAFC oxidizes zinc pellets, generating the power to recharge the Li-ion polymer battery pack. Leo also developed a mechanism to halt power generation when the battery is fully charged, and for collection of the zinc oxide sludge from the stack.

But besides that, the only electronics potentially benefiting from THIS breakthrough are RCs and household rechargeable batteries.
