Researchers at Tsinghua University in China have shown that sugarcane juice is a good feedstock for biodiesel production, when used to support the growth of the alga Chlorella protothecoides by heterotrophic fermentation. Conversion ratios of sugar/biomass and sugar/oil using SCH were 15.2 higher than that using glucose, respectively.

San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) will test and evaluate a mobile smart charging device for plug-in electric vehicles developed by Juice Technologies LLC. SDG&E and Juice Technologies presented a prototype of the Juice Technologies Plug Smart intelligent charging device at the Plug-In 2009 Conference in Long Beach, CA.

3G is still in early stages of commercial deployment while 4G is still at a concept stage. The impact of the feedstock challenge is already visible, with the government restricting use of sugarcane juice and syrup for ethanol production in 2023-24 to keep sugar prices in check.

One idea would be to cater to the commercial segment. It was a 10 course lunch and if my memory serves me right, this is what we had: Grape juice, Masala dosa, Wada, Bisellebela rice, Rasam rice, Sambar Rice, Curd Rice, Badam halwa, Sheera, Icecream with fruits and paan. We met with Capt Arvind over there.
