Once again, a conference on plug-in cars. Plug-in 2008 in San Jose, California witnessed a noon-time address by new heavy-weight convert, Andy Grove, former CEO of Intel. Meanwhile, GM is hedging its bets by continuing to invest in the dream of cheap, cellulosic ethanol and the hallucinogenic pipe dream of hydrogen fuel cell SUVs.

Nissan and ENEL announce V2G system, launch smart grid trials in Europe

At the 21 st UN Conference on Climate Change (COP21) in Paris this week, Nissan announced the development of a Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) system which will allow drivers to operate as individual energy hubs with the ability to store, use or return electricity to the grid.
