The US State Department has issued a Presidential Permit to Enbridge Energy, Limited Partnership to enable construction of the Alberta Clipper pipeline for the transport of crude oil from the Canadian oil sands to US refineries. This week, the RFA happened to issue two pieces, each touching on the impact of oil sands production.

Tyson and Syntroleum formed Dynamic Fuels in 2007 as a 50/50 joint venture. The EPA can encourage these agencies to follow the lead of states like Minnesota, which is already releasing guidelines for E-85 remediation. We believe that such an assessment would find that the extremely high costs of implementing this program outweigh the indirect benefits to consumers of the small, marginal reductions in US oil imports.
