The type of petrol engine used for the Hybrid is similar to the 3-cylinder 658 cc fitted to the compact and low tax ‘Kei’ cars in Japan. . It is fitted with a compact 660cc engine and equipped with a generator to charge the lithium-ion battery if capacity level drops. The FCV is currently under test on public roads in Japan.

Thankfully, the UK Government has taken the crucial step of banning the sale of all new petrol and diesel cars by 2030. EVs are far less reliant on these dirty fuels than petrol and diesel cars, especially when batteries are charged using renewable energy. That’s a huge saving compared to cars with petrol or diesel engines.

Reply ↓ ↑ report 8 Roger Smith 3:45PM (4/25/2009) Why do they even sell the Gas ver of the car in the states the Diesel ver just makes more sense it gets almost twice the mileage of the petrol ver. o well I guess they think all yanks hate diesels. I really would love to get a 120D coupe BMW u cant beat 0-60 of 7.5 and 49 mpg.
