I’m traveling today to Las Vegas for the in-person CES 2023. I’m booked to see some under-the-hood technologies that their developers hope will make it into consumer products soon. It claims a two-and-a-half-year battery life with no recharging. There is a separate hub that must be plugged in somewhere within the home.

Kia Motors is showcasing its Ray production Electric Vehicle (EV) ( earlier post ) and Naimo EV concept car ( earlier post ) for the first time in North America at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Under the quick recharging cycle (50 kW) the Naimo’s battery can be recharged to 80% of its capacity within 25 minutes.

A typical commute of 50 miles can be recharged in less than two hours.

Mission Motors, developer of the high-performance Mission One PLE electric motorcycle, launched Mission Electric Vehicle Technology (MissionEVT), the company’s high-performance EV Powertrain Division, at the 2010 Specialty Equipment Marketing Association Show (SEMA) in Las Vegas. Recharging takes about 2 hours at 240V.
