The US Department of Energy delivered more than $47 million in funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for eight projects to further smart grid demonstration projects in seven states. The $47 million in new Recovery Act awards will support existing projects that are advancing demonstration-scale smart grid technologies.

So, I think it would be a better option to be a part of an organization that focuses on electric vehicles. #2 Electric vehicles are powered by electricity stored in rechargeable batteries or obtained from other sources such as hydrogen fuel cells. Moreover, I’m concerned about the environment and eco-friendly transportation.

Because [Ford] can provide the hardware, but ultimately, our country has to decide is this where we really want to go and if so, how are we going to really develop the smart grid in a way that works and allows the utilities to actually speak to each other and trade power, ubiquity of charging and all those things.
