Volvo Cars reported global sales of 60,398 cars in May, up 31% compared with the same month last year. For the first five months of the year, Volvo Cars sales reached 275,312 cars, up 14% compared to the same period during 2022. Sales in Europe for May reached 26,272 cars, an increase of 40% compared to last year.

Volvo Cars reported global sales of 48,520 in January, up 2% compared to the same month last year. Sales of Volvo Cars´ Recharge models of fully electric and plug-in hybrid cars increased by 31% in January year-on-year, accounting for 40.7% of all Volvo cars sold globally during the month.

Volvo Cars reported global sales of 51,286 cars in February, up 22% compared to the same month last year and a record for the month of February. The sales growth was led by the company’s Recharge line up of fully electric and plug-in hybrid cars. China sales reached 13,066 cars, up 50% compared with February last year.

Volvo Cars achieved its eleventh consecutive month of sales growth as the company’s global sales increased by 43% in May, compared with the same month last year. The growth was mainly driven by a strong demand in the US and, in Europe, a recovery from a sales drop in May last year related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
