The sixth-generation Impreza (the first gen was shown at the 1992 Los Angeles Auto Show) received a new design and the return of the RS, a trim level on the first and second generations (1998-2005). With hybrid-specific all-wheel drive, the combustion engine driving the rear wheels and the electric motor driving the front wheels, acceleration from 0 to 60 mph takes just 4.2/4.4 seconds (preliminary).
