With record-setting gasoline prices across the nation, a record number of drivers are considering EVs. Searches for new plug-in hybrid and all-electric vehicles are at record levels, increasing exponentially since energy prices soared in March 2022. Global supply chain challenges continue to limit the production of new vehicles.

Exceeding its initial program targets, the plug-in 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid ( earlier post ) has earned an electric-mode fuel economy rating of 84 miles-per-gallon-equivalent (MPGe) from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In addition, the EPA gave the all-new minivan a rating of 10 in its Green Vehicle Guide.
